From 5,127 Failures to Global Success
Dyson — the brand that changed the rules of technology

In the 1980s, James Dyson noticed a simple but important problem: the vacuum cleaner he was using gradually lost suction power because of its dust bag. While most people would have simply bought a new device, Dyson chose a different path — to solve the problem at its core.

Success, however, did not come easily. Dyson created 5,127 failed prototypes before finally developing a version that truly worked. During those years, he nearly lost his financial resources and faced serious difficulties.

Moreover, for more than five years, no major company agreed to manufacture his invention, considering it “pointless” and unnecessary for the market.

Dyson’s philosophy remains the same to this day:
if something doesn’t work properly, it should be reinvented — not tolerated.
